The Piano

Here’s a film well worth watching. The Piano by Aidan Gibbons is a short animation about memory, love and the sadness that comes alongside. We’re about to start a particularly good unit in year 6 literacy about the use of music to develop mood in a narrative; this film is the starting point.

Aidan Gibbons now works in advertising. The Piano was made in his second year at university and was nominated for Best Animation at the 2005 Bradford Animation Festival.
