Who am I?

I am a freelance writer based in Lancaster. I have a degree in English Language and Creative Writing from Lancaster University, a certificate in proofreading from Chapterhouse and a specialist knowledge of primary education, having worked in London primary schools for 15 years. I currently write and edit for an international marketing agency, preparing work for publication for a wide variety of clients.

What can I do for You?

I am available for ghostwriting, content writing and copywriting, from articles to newsletters to educational resources to fiction. I am skilled at writing well-researched articles and blogs, both of which I can provide for you at competitive rates; I also write fiction well to a brief, and love the opportunity to flex my story muscles. I can help you make your job application stand out and your personal statement sparkle. Whether you need enticing copy to help you sell your product or service, or a menu that makes your food sound as delicious as it tastes, I can make your ideas shine, bringing them to life with engaging, well-written content. If you need words, I can write them. If you have words, I can edit them. Get in touch with your requirements to see how I can help you: jenny@jadamthwaite.co.uk.

My short fiction has been published in a variety of places, including Story Magazine, Litro and Fiction Feast, and you can hear one of my stories on GPS-triggered app Hackney Hear. I am currently working on a collection of flash fiction and seeking representation for my debut novel. I am also a writer and producer of the audio drama podcast, The Family Tree, which is in its third and final season.

Jenny was lightening fast and spot on. She's got fire and great intuition about where a topic should go next. She made my words dance on the page - rewording things so that they emphasized the best aspects without being overly dramatic. It's just what I was looking for -- a story version of a bio. So happy! I will be back.

It was great to work with Jenny, she is very creative, easy to work with. I look forward to the possibility of working with her again and would recommend her. Great job!
